Next Sunday, March 29, 2025, the Montg\u00f3 Natural Park<\/a> organizes a special activity that will allow participants to discover the rich landscape and natural wealth of the Cap de Sant Antoni<\/strong> combining three means of transport: boat, hiking and bus.<\/p>\n

Under the title “From Port to Port. Walk and Sail <\/strong>“This guided route will take attendees from the port of Denia to X\u00e0bia by boat, from where they will start a walking tour through the plains of Cabo de San Antonio to Les Rotes<\/strong>, to finally return by bus to Denia.<\/p>\n

A tour through a protected natural environment<\/h2>\n

The itinerary will allow you to discover first hand the Marine Natural Reserve of Cap de Sant Antoni<\/strong>, a protected area of great ecological and scenic value. This enclave, located between Denia and X\u00e0bia, is home to spectacular cliffs that exceed 150 meters high and serve as a habitat for a great marine biodiversity. <\/p>\n

On this stretch of coast is the Cova Tallada<\/a><\/strong>a cave located at sea level whose history goes back several centuries. Its origin is a combination of the natural action of water and human intervention: the cave was used as a quarry for rough stone, a material characteristic of many buildings in the Marina Alta. In fact, it is believed that part of the walls of D\u00e9nia Castle were built with stone extracted from this cave. <\/p>\n

Today, the Cova Tallada is a popular destination for hikers and kayakers, especially in summer. Due to its popularity and to preserve its conservation, access is regulated<\/a> by the Montg\u00f3 Natural Park during the high season, requiring prior reservation on certain dates. <\/p>\n

In the final part of the walking route on March 29th you will also be able to visit another historical enclave of great heritage value: La Torre del Gerro<\/a>, a watchtower dating from the sixteenth century.<\/p>\n

\n3. Return<\/strong> by city bus to D\u00e9nia (departure at 14:10 h, estimated arrival at 14:30 h). <\/p>\n

Price of the Activity:<\/h3>\n

Boat ticket<\/strong>: 12 \u20ac<\/strong> (special price for participants), 10 \u20ac<\/strong> for seniors over 65 years old and 8 \u20ac for children from 4 to 12 years old.

Recommendations<\/h3>\n

It is recommended to wear sports shoes, sun protection and at least one liter of water per person. In case of adverse weather conditions, the activity will be cancelled. <\/p>\n
